Surah Ma’idah, verse 17 (5:17) Allah (swt) says in translation: “For to Allah belongs the dominion of the Heavens and the Earth, and all that is between. He creates what He pleases. For Allah has power over all things.“ Another translation for the last phrase is “And Allah is Able to do all things.” A translation from the Surah (verses 23 and 24) reads, “And never say of anything, ‘I will definitely do this tomorrow,’ without adding, ‘if Allah so wills!’” The original potency of He is the one with the most wonderful and most beloved attributes. Allah is in no need of us, yet He gives us all opportunities to get closer to Him. And though we all need Him, yet we are thankless and rebellious. In this article, we shall take a brief look at some of the blessings of spending in the way of Allah. True Attachment with God.
